You may get tired of hearing about this, but I’m very excited to tell you that my photos will be featured in an upcoming silent auction to benefit On The Square Productions!
On The Square Productions is a burgeoning theatre company in Astoria, Queens, with a reputation as a fearless ensemble which creates insurgent-style productions; they famously produced William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in a back yard of an apartment building in Astoria. The performance was sold out and audiences were raving. That’s the kind of theatre I am invested in, which is why I chose to donate my time and photos for this event.
There is a Queens theme to the photos—a nod to OTSP’s home turf—but the auction will be held at Moore Brothers Wine Co., in Manhattan, at East 20th Street, between Broadway and Park Avenue. It’s Monday night, January 30th, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door, which covers the free wine and food. There will also be live music.
You can find more information at www.OnTheSquareProductions.com, www.Tollison.net, or www.ViewsOfQueens.Eventbrite.com.
I hope to see you there!

Dreaming big in #NYC

I started reading #HarryPotter #OrderOfThePhoenix just one month ago (I took this photo on September 26th). Since then I’ve read #HalfBloodPrince and #DeathlyHallows. There’s a certain sadness now that I’m through with the series; what should I read now?

Some #photos I took on #Sept11, 2011 near Ground Zero / #Photography #NewYorkCity #NYC

Here’s a photo I took, not very long after the #Sept11 #WTC attacks, in front of Trinity Church on #WallStreet, when the city finally allowed people back below 14th street in Manhattan.
